Our Purpose

Building Toward Professional Soccer

Indy Saints FC was founded with a clear and ambitious purpose: to build a professional-caliber soccer club in Indianapolis, Indiana. We are not just a team — we are a movement built on the belief that this city deserves top-level football.

Playing in the Ohio Valley Premier League (OVPL), we are laying the groundwork — developing players, building a fan base, earning the trust of sponsors, and proving that Indianapolis and Central Indiana is ready for the beautiful game at the highest level.

Every training session, every match, every decision the club makes is guided by our long-term vision. We recruit players who share that hunger. We seek partners who believe in what we are building. We welcome fans who want to be part of something from the very beginning.

2017
The Beginning — Indy Saints FC is Founded

Indy Saints FC is founded in Indianapolis by Jason Wohrle with a vision to bring professional-level soccer to the city. The club identity, original crest design, and core values are established from day one. Home field: Park Tudor Memorial Field.

The first roster takes shape. Players are recruited who embody The Saints Standard — technical quality, the right mentality, professionalism, and a genuine desire to develop.

  • Keegan Sweeney — now Head Coach — signs with Indy Saints FC in May 2017.
  • Chris Wey — soon to be Sogility Westfield — signs with Indy Saints FC in May 2017.

2018
Building the Foundation — We’re Back #GuysinGold

The club moves to the Ohio Valley Premier League (OVPL), raising the level of competition and signalling the club’s intent to grow.

Indy Saints FC and Sogility Westfield team up to utilise TOCA touch trainers with youth players — making a difference and building better soccer players in the community.

The club also fields a Lady Saints team in the Women’s Premier Soccer League (WPSL).

The club reintroduces itself with an updated logo — the current circular crest design.

2019–2020
Growing the Community

Indy Saints FC launches its presence on Twitter, expanding the club’s digital reach.

The club continues to field both the Men’s team in the Ohio Valley Premier League (OVPL) and the Lady Saints in the Women’s Premier Soccer League (WPSL).

2021
Saints Making an Impact

Both the Men’s OVPL team and the Lady Saints WPSL team continue to compete.

Former Indy Lady Saints FC player Annelie Leitner starts her professional career with Zaragoza Club de Fútbol Femenino — a proud moment for the entire Indy Saints family.

Five Years Strong

The club celebrates its 5th anniversary — a milestone that reflects the dedication of everyone who has worn the crest.

Keegan Sweeney retires from full-time playing and steps into the role of Player / Assistant Head Coach.

2024
New Leadership Era

Keegan Sweeney is named Player / Head Coach of Indy Saints FC, taking full ownership of the club’s direction on and off the pitch.

2025
Building the Brand

Keegan Sweeney becomes Head Coach / Manager of Indy Saints FC.

New uniform designs including training kits are introduced, giving the club a sharp and professional look.

Indy Saints FC competes in Winter League play at Go West Sports in Indianapolis, keeping the squad sharp year-round.
